Scope
This policy applies to personal information that is linked or reasonably linkable to a Washington consumer and identifies past, present, or future physical or mental health status, when Washington law treats that information as consumer health data.
PsyProxy's self-service rules prohibit identifiable HIPAA-regulated health information. Research text or inferred construct scores can nevertheless fall within Washington's broader definition, so this policy explains how we handle that possibility.
Categories and sources
- Text, survey responses, dependent variables, and project metadata supplied by an account holder.
- Psychological-construct scores or other inferences generated at the user's direction.
- Account, support, device, and usage information that reveals a request for health-related analysis.
- Sources include you, the organization directing the analysis, and the PsyProxy computation requested by that organization.
Purposes and sharing
We collect and use consumer health data to provide the requested analysis, secure and support the service, investigate quality, and comply with law. We share it with the account holder directing the analysis and service providers listed on the Subprocessor List only as necessary for those purposes.
We do not sell consumer health data. We do not share it for advertising or with data brokers. We will not use geofencing around health-care facilities to identify or collect consumer health data.
Your Washington rights
- Confirm whether PsyProxy collects, shares, or sells consumer health data concerning you.
- Access the data, including a list of affiliates or third parties with whom it was shared.
- Withdraw consent where processing depends on consent.
- Request deletion, including notice to processors and other recipients where required.
- Appeal a refusal by replying to the decision and stating that you appeal.
